Come on out and race at the Ballard Elks on Shilshole Bay Sunday the 1st for a good cause supporting the Elks Buildng Fund's new front door. After the race, cool off and plunge into the Sound with the Ballard Elks at Noon. Join us for post race and plunge hydration at the Ballard Elks Club. This is not a competitive race and open to anyone with good paddling skills looking for a great workout, skill building experience and to meet other paddlers. The PNW race community is very supportive and a great bunch of folks!
We'll have a propane heater and hot drinks at registration. The Elks Lodge will be open in the morning with restrooms, hot food and beverages. Friends can watch the race from the deck if they have access to the Lodge from one of our many member paddlers (Must sign-in for bar access. No sign-in for hall (window) access).
Current NOAA ForecastN WIND 15 TO 25 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 4 FT.
With the above Northerly forecast, we may change the course for the 5m leading more to inside the bay (no point) with minimal side wind issues. READ MORE..
