Stand Up Paddle Board Tips for Launching from a Dock

Curious how to launch your SUP (or kayak) from a dock?

Here's 4 tips..

- Attack your leash to your ankle or PFD prior to putting the board in the water. When coming back to the dock, don't detach your leash until the board is on the dock.

- With the board in the water parallel to the dock, sit on the dock, place your paddle on the dock and board at a 90 degree angle to act as a support.

- Slide your feet onto the middle of the board while leaning forward or back on the paddle support

- Once on, stay on your butt or knees until you're pushed away from the dock. Push off with the paddle or using the side draw. Same for returning to shore, get down then pull up to the dock.
